WINE TOUR AUSTRIA
Day 1 GRAZ - SOUTHERN STYRIA WINE ROAD (BERGHAUSEN - KITZECK)
Arrival at Graz airport and meeting with the tour guide. Transfer to one of Austrias most important wineries, „Tement“, in southern Styria, a wine region, that is world famous for its brilliant white wines. Wine degustation and lunch in the „Magnothek“, which is located right on the top of the single vineyard „Zieregg“ and offers a spectacular view on neighbouring Slovenia. After lunch continue to the nearby Kitzeck and visit of the Styrian Wine Museum. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 SOUTHERN STYRIA WINE ROAD (LEUTSCHACH - GAMLITZ)— CHOCOLATERIE ZOTTER - RIEGERSBURG
After a rich breakfast transfer to the traditional winery „Tscheppe“, which has been enriching the southern Styria Wine Road and therefore Austria’s wine country for more than 50 years. Recognized top locations in southern Styria are the basis for distinctive wines of the “Woracziczky” brand, which reflect terroir, experience and uncompromising quality standards. Wine degustation and continuing to Gamlitz. The area of Gamlitz was already inhabited in the Stone Age. In the municipality are Celtic burial mounds. At the parish church grave stones of the Romans are attached, which settled here in the first century. Lunch followed by wine tasting at the winery „Skoff Original“, a winery with recognized national and international awards. Day 3 WILHELMSBURG - MELK
Breakfast and departure to Lower Austria to the “Hoflieferanten”, an exceptional culinary highlight. In the cheese dairy you have the opportunity to experience different processing steps up close: from the raw milk intake to the filling of the yoghurts and the ripening of the cheese in the cheesemaking room. Typical Austrian lunch and degustation of cheese and pumpkin seed oil, for which Austria is so well known. In the afternoon guided tour through the historic and impressive Melk Abbey. As a symbol of the Wachau, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was described as the “most emblematic and dominant baroque building“. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 ROSENBURG - KAMPTAL (LANGENLOIS)
Breakfast. The day starts with a guided tour at the ravishing Renaissance castle Rosenburg. High up on a mighty rock above the Kamptal, visible from afar is situated this refuge with a very particular atmosphere. In the courtyard of the castle you will be a guest at the spectacular bird of prey show. Continue to one of the world’s most famous and popular wineries, „Bründlmayer“. Lunch right there at the winery and, of course, not to be missed, the degustation of the noble drops. According to Willi Bründelmayer’s statement: „It is pure joy to taste the work of an entire wine year in a glass!“ Afterwards the Wine World Loisium awaits you. You will have the pleasure to visit the vineyard and the wine cellar. At the end you will enjoy a magnificent wine tasting accompanied by the explanation of a Sommelier. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 DEPARTURE
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Vienna airport and departure.
