Day 1 ARRIVAL IN LYON
Arrival in Lyon and lunch in a restaurant. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 BOURGES - TOURS
Breakfast in hotel and departure for Bourges. Lunch in a restaurant on the way. In the afternoon, arrive in Bourges and enjoy a short visit of the city to admire the characteristic Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a Gothic style gem and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. Arrival in the late afternoon in Tours and free time. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 TOURS & CASTLES
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a full day guided tour of the most famous castles of the area. Chambord Castle is the largest castle in the Loire Valley; the building, which was never completed, was constructed by King Francis I of France during the first half of the 16th century. The Castle Of Blois, one of the main castles of the Loire Valley, was the residence of several French kings. It combines, around a single courtyard, French architecture ranging from the Middle Ages to the Classical Period. Last but not least, the Chenonceau Castle, located near the village of Chenonceaux, which has been classified as a Monument historique since 1840 by the French Ministry of Culture. Lunch in a restaurant. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 LOIRE VALLEY CASTLES
Today you will enjoy a full day excursion to discover the castles of the wonderful and unique Loire Valley: Langeais,
Ussé and Chinon – all classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lunch is in a restaurant on the way. In the afternoon, learn about Azay-le-Rideau and Villandry castles. In the evening, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 VENDOME - PARIS
After breakfast, departure to visit the town of Vendome with its distinctive landmark: the abbey-church of the Holy Trinity that has a fine façade in the florid Gothic style. Continue the journey to Chateaudun. Lunch is in a restaurant. In the afternoon, departure for the beautiful City of Lights – Paris – and on the way stop for a visit of Chartres cathedral. Check-in, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 PARIS
Full day guided tour of Paris. Discover Paris’ most iconic landmarks: Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Triumphal Arch, the Louvre museum, Les Invalides museum, the Tour Eiffel, the Paris Opera, Place Vendome and the Champs Elysèes. Lunch is in a restaurant. Dinner in hotel and panoramic bus tour to admire the “Ville Lumiere”. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 7 PARIS
Breakfast in hotel and free day to keep discovering the city (or optional full day excursion to Versailles). Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 DEPARTURE
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport.
