Day 1 ARRIVAL IN BREGENZ
Arrival in the beautiful capital of Vorarlberg. After free lunch, guided city tour: Historical buildings, traditional landmarks as well as modern architecture represent the many aspects of this beautiful city. Continue to Innsbruck. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 INNSBRUCK - SALZBURG
After a rich breakfast, start the day with a guided tour of Innsbruck – the so-called “capital of the Alps”. Alpine-urban, sporty, dynamic, open to the world and at the same time strong and traditional, the Tyrolean capital is a city with exceptional appeal. Authentic hospitality, spectacular monuments and impressive mountains make this region unique. Free lunch. Head next to Salzburg, the city of Mozart, and enjoy a guided tour of this wonderful city, where – among other things – the romantic “Getreidegasse”, the remarkable Dome, the famous Residenz and of course the Hohensalzburg Fortress can be admired. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 SALZBURG - VIENNA
Free time for a walk in the city centre of Salzburg and for shopping. Departure for Vienna and stopover in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Take a stroll through town and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. Free lunch. Arrival in the late afternoon in the Austrian capital, Vienna. Free time to get the first impressions of this breathtaking metropolis. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 VIENNA
After breakfast, full day guided tour. Vienna is one of the most charming cities in the world and offers many unforgettable beautiful spots full of history, imperialism and culture such as the Parliament, Schönbrunn Palace – which drew inspiration from the Palace of Versailles -, St. Stephen’s Cathedral on the famous St. Stephen’s Square, the Ring Road, the Belvedere, the “Hofburg”, the “Burgtheater” and many others. Free lunch. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 VIENNA
Breakfast. Half day guided city tour and free lunch. In the afternoon free time to explore the historical streets of Vienna and do some shopping. Typical Viennese dinner in a classic “Heuriger” (traditional wine tavern) in Grinzing or in Neustift am Walde. These two areas of Vienna are particularly well-known for their excellent wine. The vineyards produce the exquisite wine of the area, which is loved and tasted all over the world. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 6 VIENNA - BADEN NEAR VIENNA - EISENSTADT - RUST - GRAZ
After breakfast, leave Vienna to travel south and reach Baden near Vienna, popular and well-known for its hot thermal springs amongst other things. Head next to Eisenstadt, the capital of the beautiful Burgenland and visit externally the splendid Esterhazy Palace. Josef Haydn – a musician of the same era as Mozart and Beethoven – is buried here, in the mausoleum dedicated to himself. Continue to Rust, another fairytale spot on the banks of lake Neusiedl, part of the national park, and widely known as the town of storks. In fact, magnificent white storks nesting on special nests built above the chimneys are a great attraction in the beautiful wine town of Rust (especially in summer). Local wine tasting at a small, authentic winery. Departure for Graz. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 GRAZ - KLAGENFURT
Guided tour of Graz, the modern and lovely capital of Styria. Not to be missed are the cathedral, the Mausoleum nearby, the Clock Tower, the stunning Eggenberg Palace and the Styrian Armoury, with the world’s largest historical armoury. Free lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Klagenfurt where you will have free time to stroll around in the wonderful Carinthian capital (optional: visit of the “Minimundus”). Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 DEPARTURE
Breakfast. Check-out and transfer to the airport.
